Books I only just discovered

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Wow...I have never read a book in this format before.  I must admit when I was hearing about this book on Twitter, Tumblr and Booktube, my first thought was, "this book will irritate me", however I like to think I am open to new concepts in writing. So I made myself a cup of chai tea, got some biscuits and settled down for a read.  Again, WOW, I was gripped from the first chapter, fell in love with the characters, and their plight,  the strength of the characters need to survive and to find each other.

I am not usually a big sci-fi reader, I love sci-fi programs, Firefly, Red Dwarf, Star Trek, to name a few, but sci-fi books not my thing, I love Douglas Adams, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, with it's humour made sci-fi easier to read, Illuminae, however does not have the same humour, so I was instantly on guard.  Let me tell you, there is something for every book lovers in this book, not just the sci-fi element, the love story, infected people killing each other, lots of mystery, violence, graphic scenes, suspense, romance and friendship.

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
